About MC Dermott
Prior to McDermott, David spent 11 years with Technip S.A. and its subsidiaries, including as President of Technip U.S.A., Inc., with oversight responsibilities for all of Technip’s North America Operations. He was also Vice President and Operations Manager for Technip U.S.A.’s SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) segment. He joined Technip in 2002 with the task of growing the Company’s market position in subsea installation, now the largest subsea company in the Gulf of Mexico.
David has nearly 30 years of experience in the offshore oilfield engineering and construction industry holding various management positions in market development, project management, engineering and construction.
He is an honors graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Naval Architecture.
Backed by more than 125 years of experience, McDermott offers comprehensive engineering services from conceptual design through startup and operation.
We approach each project with seamless processes that link engineering, procurement, fabrication, material management and onshore construction or offshore installation. Our goal is to deliver safe, efficiently-managed, cost-effective projects that meet client requirements.
Our engineering services include conceptual design, economic analyses, feasibility studies, process design, front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed engineering, project engineering, construction engineering, installation engineering, commissioning and start-up.
