ECHS Kerala Recruitment 2021: Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is officially out of the recruitment notification for 205 candidates to fill their Officer in Charge,Medical Specialist,Gynecologist,Medical Officer,Dental Officer,Dental Hygienist,Lab Tech,Physiotherapist,Pharmacist,Radiographer,Nursing Assistant,Driver,Data Entry Operator,Clerk,Female Attendant,Chowkidar,Safaiwala,Laboratory Assistant jobs in All over Kerala.

Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.

2. Based on this noble aim, and after detailed deliberations, a comprehensive scheme has taken shape as ECHS, authorised vide Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 22(i) 01/US/D(Res) dated 30 Dec 2002. The ECHS was launched with effect from 01 Apr 2003. With the advent of this scheme. Ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependants who were only entitled for treatment in service hospital are now authorised treatment, not only in service hospitals, but also in those civil/private hospitals which are specifically empanelled with the ECHS.

Position	Basic Qualification
Officer in Charge	Graduate. Retired Armed Forces officers only. Minimum 5 years work experience in Health care institution or managerial positions
Medical Specialist	MD/MS in specialty concerned. Minimum 03 years experience in the specialty after Post Graduation
Gynecologist	MD/MS in specialty concerned. Minimum 03 years experience in the specialty after Post Graduation
Medical Officer	MBBS. Minimum 03 years experience after internship
Dental Officer	BDS. Minimum 03 years work experience after internship.
Dental Hygienist	Should have passed 10 + 2 with Science or equivalent from a recognized Board of Institution and should have two years Diploma in Dental Hygienist/Dental Mechanic Course Registered with Central / State Govt or Dental Council of India. Class 1 DH/DORA Course (Armed Forces). Minimum five yrs experience.
Lab Tech	B.Sc (Medical Lab Technology Or Matriculation/Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science from Recognized Institution/ Board and Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from a Recognized Institution. Minimum three years experience as Lab Asst.
Physiotherapist	Diploma / Class 1 Physiotherapy Course (Armed Forces). Minimum five years experience
Pharmacist	B Pharmacy from a recognized institute Or 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology from a recognized Board) and approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. Registered as pharmacist under Pharmacy Act 1948. Minimum three years experience.
Radiographer	Diploma / Class 1 Radiographer course (Armed Forces). Minimum five years experience.
Nursing Assistant	Class 1 Nursing Asst Course (Armed Forces) (Ex-servicemen only)
