Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre is a premier R & D unit of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and one of the constituent institutions of Homi Bhabha National Institute. This Centre is dedicated to carry out frontier research and development in the fields of Accelerator Science & Technology, Nuclear Science (Theoretical and Experimental), Material Science, Computer Science & Technology and in other relevant areas.

The Centre consists of major facilities such as K130 Cyclotron, K500 Superconducting Cyclotron, Cyclone-30 Medical Cyclotron, Radioactive Ion Beam (RIB) Facility, Computing Centre, Regional Radiation Medicine Centre and a new Campus for the proposed ANURIB project[4][5] at New Town, Rajarhat. The ANURIB (Advanced National facility for Unstable & Rare-Isotope Beams) is a planned facility, to be constructed in collaboration with the Canada-based research institute TRIUMF. ANURIB is going to conduct experiments of unstable & rare isotope beams.

Qualification

Female Nurse

A’: Higher Secondary Certificate / XII standard and Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (03 years course) + Valid Registration as 'A' grade Nurse (OR) B.Sc. Degree in Nursing.

Sub Officer ‘B’

Higher Secondary Certificate / 10+2 / Matric with 12th class Pass in Science with Chemistry or equivalent with 50% marks + Passed Sub Officer's course from National Fire Service college, Nagpur. Minimum 12 / 15 years relevant experience.

Driver (Ordinary Grade)

10th class / Matriculation Pass. Possession of a valid driving licence to drive light and heavy vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism. Consolidated experience in driving a light or heavy vehicle for at least 03 years.

Work Assistant ‘A’

10th standard / Matric Pass.

Canteen Attendant

Matriculation or equivalent qualification.

Stipendiary Trainee Category I

B.Sc. Degree / Diploma in relevant discipline.

Stipendiary Trainee Category II

SSC (10th standard) Pass with minimum 60% marks plus trade certificate (ITI / NTC) in relevant trade.
